We have noticed that the Busylight App and Outlook are not getting any presence information if Skype for Business is not installed. This is caused by an incomplete MS Teams Installer, which does not install all the required software components needed for the Office IM integration. As a workaround to have your presence work properly, you need to install the Skype for Business software. Note, that it is not necessary to start/run Skype for Business or to even configure it since it is simply being used to include the necessary components for IM integration. You can also remove all shortcuts so you avoid having users starting the Skype for Business software unnecessarily. We believe this will be resolved once Microsoft provides the Teams APIs.
